A hospitality company in Florida is actively seeking a skilled PL/SQL Developer to support and enhance a primary web platform where timeshare owners manage their property.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain PL/SQL code (packages, procedures, functions, triggers) that support the Owner Console and other core business systems.
- Implement complex business logic involving payments, financial transactions, tax calculations, document retrieval, reservation workflows, and owner account data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable database solutions.
- Analyze and optimize existing PL/SQL code for improved performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Work with front-end and API teams to define data structures, integration points, and performance expectations.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within all PL/SQL solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to established development standards and best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to database logic and processes.
- Support routine releases, deployments, and database migrations as part of the SDLC.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of professional experience as a PL/SQL Developer.
- Strong proficiency in:PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and functions
- Complex SQL queries, joins, indexing, and performance tuning
- Error handling, exception management, and transaction control
- Experience working with large datasets and performance optimization.
- Ability to design and implement multi-step business logic workflows.
- Comfort working in environments with integrations between backend PL/SQL and web applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Experience collaborating with business/functional teams to convert requirements into technical solutions.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in hospitality, vacation ownership, timeshare, or other membership/subscription-based industries.
- Understanding of payment processing, tax logic, document management, or reservations systems.
- Familiarity with Oracle Forms, Oracle APEX, or API integrations.
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git, SVN) and Agile development practice
