A health services organization in New York is currently seeking a licensed Physician Assistant to join their Surgaical one of its facilities in Rockland County.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (no weekends)
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Multi-specialty Operating Room
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in surgeries and other procedures
- Rounding on admitted patients
- Writing orders, notes, and consults on surgical patients
- Counseling patients and families
- Managing all aspects of inpatient medical care
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant (PA)
- Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant
- Certification by the NCCPA required; ACLS required
- Proficient ins Surgical Assistance and Patient Management
- Experience with Robotic and Multi-specialty Surgeries
- Knowledge of Surgical procedures and patient care
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications:
- NCCPA certification
- Proficiency in EPIC systems
