A recognized health services network in New Jersey is actively seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join one of its skilled nursing facilities in Morris County. In this role, the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will be responsible for assisting the Physical Therapists with improving adult patients' mobility and wellness.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Full-time or part-time
- Hours: 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week)
- Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Physical Therapists (PTs) with therapy plans
- Improving patient mobility and pain relief
- Promoting fitness and wellness
- Assisting with patient evaluations and new admissions
- Documenting care and treatment provided
Qualifications:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- NJS Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- CPR certification
- Communication skills
- Teamwork
- Organizational skills
- Passion for geriatric care
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience working within a Skilled Nursing Facility
