A New York City-based special education organization is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a pediatric setting in Manhattan. This role supports students with complex physical and neurological needs through direct therapy, care coordination, and individualized education planning.

About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Setting: In-person
Responsibilities:
- Assess students' functional status using standardized clinical tools and ongoing evaluation methods.
- Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans based on assessment findings and student progress.
- Prepare and update Individualized Education Programs and related documentation in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including educators, therapists, nurses, and paraprofessionals.
- Provide direct therapy, caregiver education, and documentation to support student outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure in New York State.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric physical therapy with children who have brain-based disorders or neurological involvement.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take initiative, remain flexible, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds independently.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with medically fragile children and adolescents.
- Background supporting students with traumatic brain injury or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Research experience and NDT training.
