A recognized education network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to work with medically complex pediatric patients in a school-based setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (Follows DOE school holiday schedule)
- Hours: 7:45am to 3:15pm
- Setting: School-based
Responsibilities:
- Providing physical therapy-based services to the assigned caseload
- Developing and implementing therapeutic interventions
- Evaluating, documenting, and monitoring student progress
- Communicating with parents, school staff, and medical professionals
- Participating in IEP meetings and completing necessary documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related
- NYS Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Experience with medically complex Pediatric patients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and attention to detail
Desired Skills:
- DPT from an APTA-recognized program
- Pediatric Clinical Specialist certification
- Experience with Brain-based Disorders
- Experience with Aquatic Therapy
