A recognized healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY is looking to add a new Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacists in medication preparation and distribution within an acute care environment.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Days, Evenings, or Nights
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week including Saturdays and some holidays
- Hours: 7:30am to 4pm or 3:30pm to 12am or 12am to 8:30am
- Setting: Acute Care
Responsibilities:
- Adhering to pharmacy laws and regulatory requirements
- Assisting pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
- Rotating assignments to meet departmental needs
- Receiving, returning, and delivering medications and supplies
- Troubleshooting automated dispensing systems
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience
- High School Diploma/GED
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) by NYSED
- Pharmacy Dispensing experience
- Sterile Processing experience
- IV Room experience
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under supervision
- Strong organizational skills
Desired Skills:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
