A community hospital in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist (Physician or APP) for locum coverage. This role provides flexible scheduling with ongoing shifts available after the initial holiday need.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: Flexible (Thanksgiving day is a MUST!)
- Setting: Inpatient – NICU & Newborn Nursery
Responsibilities:
- Healthy newborn coverage
- Attend deliveries and provide delivery room coverage
- Manage overnight NICU coverage with Neonatology backup
- Admit patients to NICU (limited scope)
- Minimal pediatric ER consults
Qualifications:
- Active CT license
- NRP certification
- Pediatric Hospitalist or Newborn experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
