A recognized healthcare network is actively seeking a new PB Surgical Coder to join their team remotely and focus on coding surgical cases from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing full operative reports
- Assigning all applicable CPT, ICD-10, and modifier codes
- Working directly from provider documentation to ensure complete, accurate, and compliant coding for professional surgical encounters
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience using GE, Meditech BAR, and Experian
- Strong background in orthopedic, neurosurgery, and ENT surgical coding
- Hands-on experience coding from operative notes, not just reviewing edits
- Deep understanding of professional surgical coding, including modifier usage and NCCI edits
- Familiarity with payer-specific guidelines and documentation requirements
- Proven ability to meet daily productivity and accuracy standards
