A health services organization in New York City is seeking a new Patient Services Representative to join their growing team in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7:30am to 3:30pm (35 hours/week - 1 hour lunch)
- Department: Doctors Pavilion
Responsibilities:
- Great and register patients
- Answer telephones and take messages
- Schedule appointments
- Verify insurance and process referrals and authorizations
- Enter patient financial and demographic data into an electronic system
- Collects co-pays
- Performs routine clerical duties
- Handle other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of relevant work experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Computer savvy
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Solid problem-solving and time management skills
- Exceptional phone etiquette
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Bilingual (English and Cantonese / Mandarin)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
- Experience with Billing systems
