A leading medical group in Connecticut is actively seeking a new Hematology/Medical Oncologist to provide essential outpatient care focusing on pre-chemotherapy visits and surveillance at one of their facilities in Litchfield County.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 3 days per week
- Hours: Over 12 hours/day; overtime after 12 hours/day and 168 hours/week
- Setting: Office-based, outpatient
Responsibilities:
- Conducting pre-chemotherapy and surveillance visits
- Managing outpatient Hematology/Oncology patient care
- Administering and managing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary clinical teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Providing coverage as per the schedule with on-call duties
Qualifications:
- CT Medical license
- Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Hematology/Medical Oncologist
- Fellowship in Medical Oncology or Gynecologic Oncology
- Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy proficiency
- Hematology experience
- Strong clinical and patient management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Desired Skills:
- Fellowship in a specialized field of Oncology
- Advanced certifications in Oncology
