A recognized education network in New York City is seeking dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapists (OTs) to join our growing team and provide services to students throughout all five boroughs of New York City for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year. Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, screenings, assessments, and direct treatment services to school-aged students in accordance with IEP mandates and educational goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, self-care skills, classroom participation, and overall functional independence
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student achievement and educational success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily treatment notes, progress reports, quarterly updates, annual reviews, and other required compliance records
- Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, IEP meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences as needed.
- Provide consultation and training to educational staff regarding adaptive strategies, classroom accommodations, sensory supports, and motor development techniques
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current New York State Occupational Therapist License, or eligibility for licensure with pending NYS OT license
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational environment
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience with the Pediatric population
- Experience in a School-based and/or Early intervention role/setting
- Clinical background
