A health service network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide vital therapy services to individuals with developmental disabilities at one of their Article 16 Clinics on Staten Island.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7am to 3pm or 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5 pm
- Setting: Article 16 Clinic
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing MD’s referrals and determining required OT treatment
- Evaluating and assessing patient needs and levels of functioning
- Devising treatment plans and administering treatment
- Writing specific and measurable documentation
- Providing training to patients and staff
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Occupational Therapy school
- NYS Occupational Therapist (OT) license or eligibility
- Knowledge in OT evaluation and treatment modalities
- Experience with Electronic Documentation through ECW
- Proficient with Mobility Devices and Therapeutic Exercises
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Wheelchair Assessment preferred
- Experience working with the Developmental Disabilities population
