- Shift: 12-hour shifts (7a–7p, 7p–7a)
- Schedule: Flexible
- Hours: Minimum 7 shifts per month
- Setting: Community Memorial Hospital
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Emergency Medicine will be responsible for:
- Providing primary and emergency care to patients
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Maintaining accurate patient records using the EMR system
- Participating in patient management and treatment plans
- Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in emergency medicine
- Active NY State License & NY DEA
- Board Certification: ABMS for Physicians (EM, FM, or IM); ANCC or AANP for APPs and NCCPA for PAs
- Completion of EM, FM, or IM residency
- ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications (AHA)
- Strong clinical skills in emergency settings
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills
Desired Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in a hospital setting
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
- Advanced certifications in emergency medicine
- Proficient in using Epic EMR system
- Strong leadership skills
