An organization in the media and entertainment industry is seeking a Newsroom Operations Specialist in New York City or Englewood Cliffs, NJ. This hybrid role supports newsroom, sports, entertainment, and production teams by coordinating operations, communicating across stakeholders, and helping keep live productions running smoothly.

About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday (hybrid, 3 days per week onsite)

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and day-to-day operational support across multiple teams
- Support operations managers with production planning and execution
- Facilitate communication among producers, editorial staff, and other stakeholders
- Assist with live production nights and respond to high-priority operational issues as they arise
- Track action items, troubleshoot workflow issues, and help improve operational processes
Qualifications:
- Experience in newsroom, broadcast, studio, control room, or field production operations
- Background in coordinating people, schedules, and processes in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across teams and levels of leadership
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work comfortably in ambiguous, changing environments
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving operational issues
Desired Skills:
- Exposure to AI tools, workflow automation, or productivity tools such as ChatGPT
- Experience improving workflows or streamlining operational processes
- Background in production coordination, production assistance, broadcast operations, or assignment desk support
- High energy, relationship-driven approach, and comfort working onsite in live production environments
