A New York City health services network is actively seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to join their Outpatient Treatment Program in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 4pm (1-hour lunch)
- Setting: Outpatient Treatment Program
Responsibilities:
- Reception, data entry, answering phones, and managing patient data
- Performing vitals, blood draws, and working with providers
- Insurance coordination and prior authorizations
- Supporting both clinical and administrative functions
- Experience with clients dealing with substance use or temporary housing preferred
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- High School Diploma or GED; Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program
- BLS certification
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Proficiency in Phlebotomy
- Proficiency in EHR and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with diverse backgrounds
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
Desired Skills:
- Experience with clients dealing with Substance Use and/or Temporary Housing
