A healthcare network in New York City is seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to join their growing Orthopedic Department at their Brooklyn facility.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7am and 7pm (flexible shifts between these hours)
- Setting: Orthopedic - Bone & Joint Center
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring patient flow within exam rooms
- Assisting doctors during patient examinations
- Performing phlebotomy and EKGs
- Recording and managing patient data in EMRs
- Facilitating patient procedures and movements
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant (MA) program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- EKG and Phlebotomy training required
- Experience with EMR Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Bilingual
- Certification in CPR
