A health services system in New York City is seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to join their Obstetrics & Gynecology Department in Brooklyn.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (flexible as needed; 35 hours/week with 1-hour unpaid lunch)
- Setting: Obstetrics and Gynecology Department
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patients and families
- Supporting excellent customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
- Assisting with patient exams, including taking vital signs and performing phlebotomy
- Managing electronic medical records and coordinating patient services
- Maintaining examination rooms and clinical areas clean and stocked
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (MA)
- Previous experience in an OB/GYN role/setting
- Phlebotomy and EKG training required
- Working knowledge of EMR systems
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
Desired Skills:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Bilingual
