A community services organization in New York City is seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to join their growing team in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (rotates to Monday to Wednesday every 3 weeks)
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (40 hours per week; 11am to 7pm for Mond to Wed schedule)
Responsibilities:
- Assisting providers during patient visits with vital signs and documentation
- Obtaining prior authorizations for prescriptions and equipment
- Collecting and processing blood and other specimens
- Drafting prescription requests in the EMR
- Maintaining and stocking clinical supplies and forms
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Up to 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Medical Assistant (MA) certification
- BLS certification
- Phlebotomy and EKG skills
- Computer savvy
- Great interpersonal and communicaiton skills skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in a Psychiatric role/setting
- Knowledge of Ambulatory Practice Operations
- Experience with LGBT+ populations
