A healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for a cancer center in Brooklyn, NY. This role supports patient flow, clinical preparation, and front-office
coordination in a busy outpatient setting.

About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Outpatient clinical setting
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, coordinate patient flow, and support a positive patient experience throughout the visit.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare them for examinations, and assist the physician or care team as needed.
- Take and document vital signs, perform point-of-care testing, and complete blood draws and EKGs per provider orders.
- Collect patient information, update the electronic medical record, and support pre-visit planning and chart preparation.
- Maintain exam rooms, replenish supplies, support basic administrative tasks, and handle routine patient calls and scheduling support.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a hospital or physician's office setting.
- High School Diploma / GED
- Medical Assistant certification
- CPR certification
- EKG and phlebotomy training
- Strong phlebotomy experience and comfort with a phlebotomy- and vital-signs-heavy role
Desired Skills:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in an Oncology or Cancer Center setting.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
- Familiarity with basic data entry and office support tasks.
