A health services network in New York City is seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to play a crucial role at one of its facilities in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (35 hours per week)
- Setting: Breast Cancer Center
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring patient arrival and coordinating patient flow
- Escorting patients to examination rooms and assisting with preparation
- Performing pre-visit planning and communicating with care teams
- Preparing rooms and assisting physicians during examinations
- Maintaining records and patient confidentiality
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- High School Diploma / GED
- Medical Assistant (MA) certification
- Proficiency with EMR Systems
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as a team player
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of OBGYN experience
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field
- CPR certification
- EKG and Phlebotomy certifications
- Bilingual
