A New York City nonprofit organization is actively seeking a certified Medical Assistant to focus on providing support to clinicians and patient care. The role involves both clinical and non-clinical duties.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (rotates to 11am to 7pm every 4 weeks; 40 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Obtaining vital signs and documenting results
- Assisting the provider during patient visits
- Performing phlebotomy and processing specimens
- Managing electronic medical records
- Supporting quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Up to 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant certification
- BLS certification
- Proficient in Phlebotomy
- Computer savvy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving skills
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Experience in an Ambulatory Practice
