A medical services organization on Long Island is currently seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to join their team in Nassau County, supporting clinical and administrative functions under supervision to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage patients and guests
- Manage patient flow and resolve check-in/check-out issues
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Perform patient care under supervision, including taking vitals and assisting with procedures
- Ensure documentation is accurate in EMR and maintain exam rooms
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1 year of Ambulatory Care experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) program
- Medical Assistant (MA) certification
- Experience with EMR systems
- Clinically skilled in vitals and specimen collection
- Proficient in front desk and scheduling tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent time management
- Team-oriented with a focus on patient care
Desired Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Ambulatory Care experience in ambulatory care
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Gastrointestinal and/or Procedural experience
- Skilled in procedures like Endoscopy and Biopsies
