The Medical Assistant position is available at a Bronx outpatient treatment program, focused on providing holistic care as part of an integrated network of behavioral health services.
About the Opportunity:

- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
- Setting: Outpatient Treatment Program
Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for:
- Reception, data entry, answering phones, and managing patient data
- Performing vitals, blood draws, and working with providers
- Insurance coordination and prior authorizations
- Supporting both clinical and administrative functions
- Experience with clients dealing with substance use or temporary housing preferred
Qualifications:
- 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant
- High School Diploma or GED; Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program
- BLS certification
- Proficiency in Phlebotomy
- Proficiency in EHR and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Experience with diverse backgrounds
- Team player
- Bilingual Spanish
Desired Skills:
