A New York City-based healthcare organization is actively seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to join one of its clinics in Manhattan. In this role, the Medical Assistant (MA) will be responsible for supporting clinical and administrative operations to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Full-time
- Hours: 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week with flexibility)
Responsibilities:
- Greeting and engaging with patients and guests
- Managing patient flow and providing front desk support
- Handling communication and coordination tasks
- Participating in outreach and care initiatives
- Providing clinical support under RN/LPN supervision
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- High School diploma or GED
- Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or eligibility for national certification
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
Desired Skills:
- 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Associate degree
- Additional certifications in Medical specialties
- Familiarity with Epic EMR systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
