A rapidly growing media company is currently seeking a skilled Media Operations Technician to join their team. This contract-to-hire position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a high-demand, dynamic environment.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Evening-heavy workload
- Schedule: 4 × 10-hour days, ideally spread across all days of the week
- Hours: Late afternoon to midnight (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM)
- Setting: Remote, with preferences for candidates near Denver or Stamford for onsite visits
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing video assets and marking time codes for various segments, such as credit sequences and commercial breaks
- Following established SOPs for different types of content
- Performing quality control checks, including verifying audio channels and identifying problematic content
- Ensuring downstream networks receive the necessary timecodes
- Communicating with field crews as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in media operations or related field
- High school diploma or relevant certification in Media or Communications
- Experience with media asset management systems
- Ability to handle digital formats and codecs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities
- Problem-solving skills under pressure
Desired Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in master control or record/workflow environments
- Associate degree in Media or Communications
- Certification in media-related fields
- Experience with playout systems and assistant director workflows
- Understanding of SOPs, especially in sports
