A top financial institution is seeking a Mainframe Engineer for a great Remote opportunity, supporting core banking applications and mainframe systems.

About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (rotational on-call overnight support)
- Hours: 8am to 4:30pm (EST)
- Setting: Remote
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and resolving programming bugs within mainframe applications
- Supporting COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL-based systems and batch processes
- Providing nightly batch support and resolving production issues
- Supporting lower environments during onboarding and training
- Participating in a rotational overnight on-call schedule for batch support
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Mainframe Programming and Production Support
- High School Diploma / GED
- Strong experience with COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL
- Experience supporting batch jobs and overnight processing environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience supporting FIS/Systematics Core Banking applications
- Prior experience within a Banking and Financial Services environment
- Exposure to production support in high-volume Enterprise Systems
- Strong understanding of core Banking Operations
