A health services network in California is currently seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide essential nursing care to IDD adults.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Evening (Full-Time, 5 days/week, 8 hrs)
- Schedule: 5 days a week
- Hours: 2:30pm to 11pm (8 hours per day)
- Setting: Healthcare facility
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing 24-hour reports at the start of the shift
- Administering controlled drugs per regulations
- Conducting walking rounds every 2 hours
- Communicating medical needs to DSP staff
- Preparing and administering medications
Qualifications:
- 2 years of nursing experience
- Graduate of a Board-approved LVN program
- Current LVN license in California
- Experience with G-Tubes
- Basic nursing care skills
- Experience with Medication Administration
- Strong communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Additional certifications in IDD Care
- Knowledge of Preventive Care
