A healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide on-site nursing support in a shelter-based setting in Manhattan. The role focuses on direct patient care, medication support, and clinical coordination for individuals with complex behavioral health and primary care needs.

About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Setting: In-person, homeless shelter
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site nursing services under the direction of clinical leadership
- Perform blood draws, vital signs, screenings, and ordered clinical procedures
- Administer medications, injections, treatments, and insulin as ordered
- Support medication management, including storage, refills, pill packing, and adherence education
- Document care in nursing templates and coordinate with medical providers and shelter staff
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of clinical experience in a primary care, medical, psychiatric, behavioral health, or substance use setting
- Active New York State Licensed Practical Nurse license
- AHA BLS certification
- Previous experience with Phlebotomy
- Experience documenting in Electronic Medical Records
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and listening skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff at all levels
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks EMR
- Women’s Health experience
