A health services organization in Windsor, Virginia, is actively seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team within their Children's Crisis Stabilization Center. In this evening position, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for working in a supportive and engaging environment with children facing mental health crises.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Evening
- Schedule: Monday to Friday with rotating weekends
- Hours: 1pm to 11pm (10-hour shifts)
- Setting: Children's Crisis Stabilization Center
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with medication administration and assessments
- Implementing and maintaining Individual Service Plans
- Conducting physical and mental assessments
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring consumer safety
- Engaging in activities such as playing, cooking, and coloring with children
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in a Mental Health and/or Residential setting
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program
- VA Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Experience with Patient Assessment and Medication Administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
- Basic knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare regulations
- Proficiency in Behavioral Assessment
