A leading healthcare provider in Manhattan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team. This unique opportunity involves working with male veterans at a specialized facility dedicated to addiction and PTSD treatment.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday (One late night per week)
- Hours: 8am - 4pm (35 per week; Wednesdays 11am - 7pm)
- Hours: 35 hours per week (1-hour unpaid lunch)
- Setting: 48-bed facility
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with patient care, including checking vital signs and administering injections
- Recording patient medical history and data entry
- Following the physician and RN orders in patient care
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Providing emotional support and initiating emergency assistance as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of related Nursing experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of a Vocational LPN Program
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- BLS certification
- Experience with Substance Use Disorder or Serious Mental Illness
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Familiarity with Addiction, Psychiatric, and Mental Health Care
