A health services organization in New York City is seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join one of its outpatient facilities in the Bronx, focusing on opioid misuse treatment.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (with 1-2 Saturdays per month)
- Hours: 6am to 2pm (1 hr unpaid lunch, 35 hours a week)
- Setting: Outpatient Opioid Treatment
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with patient care, including vital signs and lab specimens
- Observing and reporting patient conditions
- Administering methadone under supervision
- Preparing and managing medication for clients
- Performing additional duties as required
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience as an LPN
- High School Diploma / GED
- Technical/Vocational LPN Program graduate
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- BLS certification
- Experience with diverse populations
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and EHR
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Vocational training as LPN
- Experience with Addiction Treatment and/or Psychiatric Care
- Experience with Substance Use Disorder or serious mental illness
