An addiction treatment organization is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse in Manhattan, New York to support a women’s residential program serving mothers and children. This role provides hands-on nursing care in a substance use disorder treatment setting, with a strong focus on patient monitoring, documentation, and compassionate support.

About the Opportunity:
  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
  • Hours: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
  • Setting: In-person, residential treatment facility 

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care by checking vital signs, assisting with assessments, and supporting intake processes.
  • Administer injections, perform basic testing, and follow physician and RN orders in delivering care.
  • Document patient histories, treatments, and ongoing care in the medical record and EHR.
  • Monitor changes in patient condition and communicate significant findings to the RN or physician.
  • Support daily clinic operations through chart preparation, room stocking, wound care, and patient education. 

Qualifications:
  • Active New York State LPN licensure.
  • BLS certification.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of a formal technical or vocational LPN program.
  • At least 1 year of LPN experience working with clients with substance use disorder and/or serious mental illness.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EHR systems.
  • Ability to work the required Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm schedule.
  • Ability to administer injections.
  • Strong organization, multitasking, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and within a team environment. 

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in addiction, psychiatric, or mental health care settings.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills.
  • Experience supporting patients in a residential or short-term treatment environment.
  • Familiarity with substance use disorder treatment services.
  • Strong bedside manner and patient de-escalation skills.
