A New York City nonprofit services organization is seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a great opportunity at one of their facilities in Manhattan, supporting mothers struggling with addiction.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Sun to Thurs or Tues to Sat
- Hours: 2pm to 10pm (35 hours/week)
- Setting: Young Mothers Program
Responsibilities:
- Checking vital signs and administering injections
- Recording medical history and data entry
- Following the Physician and RN orders
- Managing patient records and charts
- Providing patient and emotional support
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience as an LPN
- High School Diploma / GED
- Technical or Vocational LPN Program Graduate
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- BLS certification
- Experience with Substance Use Disorder
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
- Excellent interpersonal communication
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Experience in Addiction or Psychiatric Care
