A recognized nonprofit services organization in Brooklyn, New York, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at one of its residential facilities, providing support in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm
- Setting: Residential Facility
Responsibilities:
- Assisting a Registered Nurse in coordinating healthcare services
- Maintaining progress notes and health records
- Providing health care and hygiene instructions
- Managing communicable diseases and infection control
- Administering first aid when necessary
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing program
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Experience with individuals with Developmental Disabilities
- Knowledge of health-related equipment
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Trach and G-tube Care
- CPR certification
- Proficiency in Infection Control
