A health services network in New York City is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join one of their Opioid Treatment Programs in the Bronx, providing care to individuals recovering from opioid misuse.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (1-2 Saturdays a month)
- Hours: 6am to 2pm (35 hours/week with 1-hour unpaid lunch)
- Setting: Opioid Treatment Program
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with patient care, including vital signs and blood draws
- Administering methadone and injections
- Recording and reporting patient data
- Preparing medication for self-administration
- Collaborating with the medical team and following protocols
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience
- High School or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- BLS certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR
- Knowledge of Medical terminology
- Ability to work with diverse populations
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in Behavioral Health settings
- Additional certifications in Substance Abuse and/or Mental Health
- Familiarity with Addiction Recovery programs
