- Hybrid or Remote: On-site
- Shift: Evening and Overnight
- Schedule:
- 3282: Tuesday-Saturday, 3pm-11pm
- 3478: Sunday-Thursday, 3pm-11pm
- 3003: Sunday-Thursday, 11pm-7am
- Hours: 35 hours per week with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
- Setting: Substance Use Disorder Treatment Clinic with 135 beds
Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for:
- Assisting with patient care, including checking vital signs and administering injections
- Documenting patient medical histories and data entry
- Following physician and registered nurse orders in providing patient care
- Ensuring proper charting and documentation within patient records
- Providing emotional support and initiating emergency assistance as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience as an LPN with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) or Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
- NYS LPN licensure and BLS certification
- High School diploma or GED, and completion of a Technical or Vocational LPN Program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent bedside manner and ability to communicate effectively with patients
- Experience working with diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
Desired Skills:
- Additional years of experience in a similar setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred
- Previous experience in addiction, psychiatric, or mental health environments
- Strong adaptability and flexibility in a clinical environment
