A healthcare organization in Ellenville, NY is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join their team. These roles specialize in Substance Use Disorder Treatment Services and offer an opportunity to work with a diverse patient population.


About the Opportunity:

This opportunity is ideal for LPNs who can meet the unique demands of the schedules listed below. It requires flexibility and adaptability in a clinical setting.

  • Hybrid or Remote: On-site
  • Shift: Evening and Overnight
  • Schedule:
    • 3282: Tuesday-Saturday, 3pm-11pm
    • 3478: Sunday-Thursday, 3pm-11pm
    • 3003: Sunday-Thursday, 11pm-7am
  • Hours: 35 hours per week with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
  • Setting: Substance Use Disorder Treatment Clinic with 135 beds

Responsibilities:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with patient care, including checking vital signs and administering injections
  • Documenting patient medical histories and data entry
  • Following physician and registered nurse orders in providing patient care
  • Ensuring proper charting and documentation within patient records
  • Providing emotional support and initiating emergency assistance as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience as an LPN with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) or Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
  • NYS LPN licensure and BLS certification
  • High School diploma or GED, and completion of a Technical or Vocational LPN Program
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent bedside manner and ability to communicate effectively with patients
  • Experience working with diverse socioeconomic backgrounds

Desired Skills:

  • Additional years of experience in a similar setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred
  • Previous experience in addiction, psychiatric, or mental health environments
  • Strong adaptability and flexibility in a clinical environment
