About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (30 hours)
- Hours: Flexible (choose between 7a-3p, 8a-4p, or 9a-5p)
- Setting: Residential-based within an OPWDD environment
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling appointments with medical professionals
- Supporting health documentation and compliance audits
- Communicating with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Making appropriate health referrals and screenings
- Ensuring accurate medication administration documentation
Qualifications:
- Active NYS Nurse (LPN) License
- 1+ year of experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Background check clearance
- Proficient in scheduling and administrative tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Calm and compassionate demeanor
- Flexibility in a dynamic environment
- Ability to manage medical situations effectively
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Experience in OPWDD or special education
- Strong interpersonal skills
