A health services organization in New York City is currently seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a promising opportunity at one of their group homes in Queens. In this role, the Group Home LPN will be responsible for providing overall medical oversight for program individuals.
- Provide observation, monitoring and documentation for all Individuals served on presenting health needs
- Administer medications and handle the inventory of all medications
- Review the medical data sheets
- Perform medical rounds, nursing procedures and other treatments as required
- Maintain accurate, neat, concise, timely documentation in all medical and agency records
- Participate in Interdisciplinary and other health-related meetings as requested
- Assist the Registered Nurse in addressing health teaching needs of the Individuals we serve, their families, and staff
- Perform other duties, as needed
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- OPWDD Experience as an LPN
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
