A nonprofit services organization in New York City is actively seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their growing staff one of their homeless shelters in Manhattan.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 4pm (35-hour work week)
- Setting: Homeless Shelter
Responsibilities:
- Participating in weekly clinical meetings with staff
- Managing medication systems and records
- Educating clients on medication adherence
- Administering medications and treatments
- Traveling to cover locations as needed
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Clinical Nursing experience
- Active NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- AHA BLS certification
- Familiarity with EMR documentation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and listening skills
- Ability to interface with clients and staff
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Homeless populations
- Experience working within Mental Health settings
- Knowledge of eClinicalWorks EMR
