A healthcare organization in New York City is actively seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide addiction and PTSD treatment for veterans and male patients.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 4pm (11am to 7pm on Wednesdays)
- Setting: 48-bed facility
Responsibilities:
- Checking vital signs and assisting with patient intakes
- Administering injections and performing tests
- Documenting care details and maintaining records
- Providing emotional support and following Physician's orders
- Observing patient conditions and adapting care as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience
- High School diploma or GED
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- BLS certification
- Experience with Substance Use Disorder and Serious Mental Illness
- Knowledge of Medical terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
Desired Skills:
- Graduate of a Technical or Vocational LPN Program
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
