A leading healthcare provider in Manhattan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team. This unique opportunity involves working with male veterans at a specialized facility dedicated to addiction and PTSD treatment.
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: Onsite
- Shift: Monday - Friday; specific hours vary
- Schedule: 8am - 4pm, Wednesdays 11am - 7pm
- Hours: 35 hours per week (1-hour unpaid lunch)
- Setting: 48-bed facility
Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for:
- Assisting with patient care, including checking vital signs and administering injections
- Recording patient medical history and data entry
- Following physician and RN orders in patient care
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Providing emotional support and initiating emergency assistance as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience
- High School Diploma or GED; Graduate of a Vocational LPN Program
- NYS LPN licensure; BLS certification
- Experience with Substance Use Disorder or Serious Mental Illness
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Team player with independent work capability
Desired Skills:
- 1+ additional years of experience
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Familiarity with addiction, psychiatric, and mental health care
- Compassionate patient interaction
