A Long Island-based healthcare organization is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Plainview as a Learning & Professional Development Specialist. In this role, the Learning & Professional Development Specialist (RN) will be responsible for providing training and professional development to program staff across multiple sites.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Flexible, including evenings and weekends
- Schedule: Full-Time, 35-hour flex schedule
- Hours: 35-hour flex schedule; variable based on training needs
- Setting: Travel required to program sites
Responsibilities:
- Facilitating medical training using interactive techniques
- Training and certifying AMAP staff and conducting recertifications
- Delivering training in CPR, Infection Control, First Aid & Seizure, and more
- Ensuring all training documentation is audit-ready
- Developing and updating curricula and procedures
Qualifications:
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Proficiency with MS Office and virtual platforms
- Strong public speaking and facilitation skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Hands-on OPWDD experience
- Experience in Training or Education
- Proficiency with additional Medical Training techniques
