A leading media and entertainment company is currently seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join their team. This role will be pivotal in driving data science initiatives focused on media and cable networks to enhance subscriber engagement and retention.

Responsibilities:

The Lead Data Scientist will be responsible for:

  • Leveraging data from various media sources for advanced analytics and modeling.
  • Developing analytical tools and solutions using statistical modeling and machine learning.
  • Designing predictive models to optimize pricing strategies and assess customer segmentation.
  • Utilizing AI and LLMs to enhance audience engagement and campaign effectiveness.
  • Assessing statistical models for accuracy and precision using relevant metrics.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data science with impact on retention or engagement.
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Experience in Python/R, SQL, and ML libraries such as scikit-learn and TensorFlow.
  • Proficiency in building churn models and CLV analysis.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms and big data tools like Spark and Databricks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Leadership and project management skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in content analytics within subscription-based media.
  • Familiarity with third-party data platforms like comScore or Nielsen.
  • Experience building personalization systems in digital environments.
  • 5+ years relevant experience.
