A healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a Laborist to provide inpatient obstetric care on a Labor and Delivery Unit in Brooklyn. This role offers the opportunity to manage labor, deliveries, obstetric emergencies, and coordinated patient care in a collaborative hospital setting.

About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Rotating day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage
- Schedule: Full-time (Monday through Sunday)
- Hours: 40-hour work week; shift options may include 24-hour, 16-hour, 12-hour, and 8-hour shifts
- Setting: Inpatient hospital labor and delivery unit
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care, including labor management, delivery, and postpartum care
- Evaluate and manage obstetric triage patients and inpatient admissions
- Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures as clinically indicated
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and stabilize high-acuity patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to support coordinated patient care and quality outcomes
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Unrestricted New York State medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Current DEA registration
