An established aviation technology organization is seeking a Java Developer in Fort Worth, Texas. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to design, build, and support scalable software solutions while contributing to reliability, performance, and code quality across critical systems.
About the Opportunity:

Responsibilities:
- Write, test, and document technical work products in alignment with organizational standards and practices.
- Improve the quality, craftsmanship, reliability, and maintainability of products and systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for domain-level issues.
- Design self-contained systems and lead implementation of significant capabilities within existing applications.
- Support observability, security, performance, and testing practices across the development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
- 7-8+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments.
Desired Skills:
- Java development experience in enterprise or backend service environments.
- Advanced Python development experience building production-grade services, APIs, or data platforms.
- Experience with cloud-native development using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
- Experience with AWS or Azure.
- Background in software design, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with optimization or machine learning/data science systems.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, performance tuning, and data engineering patterns.
- Experience modernizing legacy systems or leading refactors.
