A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated IT Asset Management Analyst to join their team in the McLean, VA area.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of IT hardware assets in the asset management system (e.g., ServiceNow, CMDB).
  • Ensure data integrity across asset tracking systems through audits, reconciliations, and process reviews.
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of IT Asset Management (ITAM) policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Analyze asset data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for lifecycle and cost optimization.
  • Oversee hardware asset inventory, reporting, and disposal for end-of-life assets.
  • Collaborate with Desktop Support, Procurement, Finance, and Security to align ITAM processes with business goals.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to support compliance, decision-making, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to asset management.
  • Support ServiceNow catalog item testing and enhancement efforts.
  • Coordinate hardware logistics requisitions and provide daily inventory support updates.
  • Conduct benchmarking and KPI tracking to evaluate and elevate service performance.
  • Assist with budgetary management within Apptio and explore ServiceNow integrations for financial visibility.
  • Provide training and documentation to enhance process understanding and compliance within the ITAM function.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM).
  • Strong proficiency with asset management platforms such as ServiceNow, CMDB, Discovery, and HAM Pro.
  • Solid understanding of IT hardware components and configurations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Desired:
  • Experience scripting or automating asset data tasks using PowerShell or Python.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management, EOX tracking, and KPI/dashboard development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive process improvements.
  • Certifications such as CHAMP, CSAM, or ITIL Foundation preferred.
