Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our first therapy, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), was granted accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adults with NASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (consistent with stages F2 to F3 fibrosis) and is being studied in a Phase 3 trial for the treatment of NASH with compensated cirrhosis.
Internship Overview:
This 11-week Summer Internship Program is an immersive experience tailored for highly motivated undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about science, medicine, and the potential to make a real-world impact. Interns will engage in meaningful, hands-on work and contribute to projects that reflect the complexity and excitement of the biopharmaceutical industry.
Over the course of this engagement, interns will have exposure to a variety of departments, walking away with not only a strong understanding of their unique role, but also an understanding of the drug lifecycle as it enters the market, and various career pathways within the industry. The program offers a wonderful opportunity for students to directly interface with Executive Leadership and Key Stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Support development of a standardized field communications SOP (process steps, timelines, approvals, distribution, and version control)
  • Assist in building and maintaining the meetings framework (agenda templates, , materials, and post-meeting follow-up)
  • Maintain accurate meeting rosters and distribution lists; track updates and confirm the right stakeholders are included
  • Support BARR meetings (internal business review meetings) with calendar holds, roster management, event setup, and logistics/readiness tracking
  • Support the Dev360 project (internal initiative) through meeting coordination, documentation, status tracking, and action item follow-up
  • Assist with VP Sales updates by gathering inputs, formatting materials, and coordinating distribution and follow-ups
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Microsoft Teams
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills; able to manage calendars, meeting logistics, and multiple workstreams.
  • Comfortable drafting process documentation, templates, and meeting summaries
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion when handling business-sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently, ask questions, and follow through on action items and deadlines

  • Senior Level Candidate (2027 Graduation Year)
  • Business Degree Program (Business Administration / Business Communications)
  • Experience with External Sales Tools (Analytics, Patient Journey Tool, CRM/ Visual Aid Software)
