A nonprofit services organization in New York City is actively seeking an experienced professional to join its staff as the new Interim VP of Talent Acquisition.

About the Opportunity:
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Length:  at least 2 months (could be 3 or longer depending on leave)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours:  9am to 5pm 
  • Setting: Hybrid (3 days on site; 2 days from home)
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Oversee the implementation and compliance of hiring policies, ensuring consistency and equity across departments
  • Set and evaluate recruitment goals based on evolving business needs and workforce planning
  • Approve and guide the development of job descriptions and interview frameworks 
  • Partner with senior leadership to forecast hiring needs and advise on workforce planning initiatives
  • Monitor and report on key hiring metrics, including time-to-fill, quality of hire, and cost-per-hire
  • Ensure centralized management of candidate data and communications through integrated platforms
  • Analyze recruitment performance data to identify trends, optimize sourcing channels, and improve hiring outcomes
  • Champion innovative sourcing strategies, leveraging both digital platforms and offline networks
  • Audit and enhance recruiting practices to align with broader HR and DEI initiatives
  • Establish and refine candidate assessment methodologies to ensure job-related skill evaluation
  • Lead training and enablement for hiring managers on interviewing best practices and compliance
  • Build and maintain strategic pipelines of passive talent and former applicants for future opportunities
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of proven experience leading full-cycle recruitment at a strategic level
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience managing a team and experience with Executive-level Recruitment
  • Expertise with Candidate Evaluation techniques, including behavioral interviewing and skills assessments
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Strong understanding of Social Media and Digital Sourcing strategies
  • Experience driving process improvements and implementing scalable recruiting solutions
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
Desired Skills:
  • Nonprofit background
  • Working knowledge of Oracle HCM and HRIS
  • Experience working within a high-growth or matrixed organization
