A New York City-based health services organization is actively seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join its growing Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Brooklyn.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Nights
- Schedule: 3 shifts/week and rotating weekends
- Hours: 7pm to 8am
- Setting: Acute Care
Responsibilities:
- Administering medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed by Physicians
- Performing nursing procedures such as inserting catheters and managing ventilators.
- Regularly assessing patients' conditions, including vital signs and responses to treatments
- Monitoring patients closely for any changes in condition and alerting the healthcare team
- Utilizing advanced monitoring equipment to track patient parameters
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a Critical Care and/or Intensive Care role/setting
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- IV Insertion andPhlebotomy skills
- Conscious sedation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
Desired Skills:
- EPIC EMR experience
