A Fortune 50 financial institution located in Winchester, VA, and Pensacola, FL, is seeking an Instructional Designer. This role focuses on enterprise-wide learning and development initiatives to enhance employee performance.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business hours
- Setting: Hybrid (3 days a week onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Planning and managing instructional design projects and initiatives for business units and cross-company programs
- Collaborating with stakeholders to plan, design, and develop courses and curricula, ensuring accuracy of content and functionality of multimedia elements
- Conducting training needs assessments and developing customized learning solutions to improve performance
- Developing classroom, online, and independent learning programs that effectively transfer knowledge and drive behavior change
- Creating dynamic instructional materials using current technologies, references, and support tools
Qualifications:
- Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or training program development
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, Communication, Behavioral Sciences, Training Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, and learning models
- Experience evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and learning products
- Experience researching and writing course content and developing technology-driven training materials
- Working knowledge of instructional design methodologies for products, processes, and skills
- Strong LMS experience, including course creation, assignments, and reporting
- Proficiency with presentation, database, word processing, and spreadsheet software
- Strong organizational, planning, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Desired Skills:
- Experience developing multimedia or technology-based training solutions
- Working knowledge of financial services products, services, or regulated environments
- Experience supporting large-scale or enterprise-wide instructional design initiatives
